After seeing the stories of those attending Fall State, I decided to join JSA mid way through my freshman year. For me, JSA was a place where I could be open about my concerns for the state of our world. It was a place where people listened intently and would give thoughtful rebuttals or asking attentive questions. Once the year had come to an end, I made the decision of running for Vice President of the chapter and won. It was after the first few glorious months of the summer of 2015 that I learned our elected Chapter President was changing schools and that I, along with my compadre Thomas Muse, were going to be the Chapter Presidents of the club.
Aside from JSA, I occupy my time playing volleyball, both casually and on my school’s team. I am also somewhat of a music aficionado: playing guitar, bass guitar, and recently singing (not in front of people). Pairing hand in hand with my interest in creating music, I am also an avid music listener- with my taste ranging from Anderson Paak’s soulful ballads, Stone Sour’s headbanging-rock-your-socks-off tunes, Jimi Hendrix's experience or Rebelution’s thumpin ditties. Aside from sports and music, I study and teach a Wing Chun based Kung Fu system at Lau Kune Do, Santa Barbara.
